The hibernation mode saves all the current data to your hard disk making it available the next time you boot up. A complete shutdown may prove fatal if you haven’t saved your current session.
You can enable Windows 8 Hibernation by going through a small series of steps.
1) Log on to your Windows 8 System and Press Windows Key + C. This will invoke the system settings options
Now click on settings to get other system options.
In the above picture, you can see that the Hibernation mode is not activated or enabled by default.
We have to enable the same manually. First of going the control panel and search for “Power Options“.
Click and head towards the Power Options Menu.
Hereafter going to the Power Options Menu Window, on the right-hand side click “Choose what the power button does”.
You will now be taken to the Shutdown settings menu where you will see that Hibernation is not been checked. Just check that option and save the settings.
Now you have successfully enabled Windows 8 Hibernation on your PC. To check again access the Windows settings by pressing Windows Key + C.
Now if you see the hibernation option on the power menu, the above steps have been done correctly. In case you haven’t got that right, just follow the steps back else ask for help via comments.
