I have always been the person in the family who remembers every meal. Not just what we ate, but where we sat, what the light looked like, whether it was raining outside, and who said what between the first and second serving. Food, for me, has never just been food. It is memory. It is place. It is the whole story of a moment.
The same goes for travel. I do not collect stamps in my passport — I collect the smell of a market at 7am, the taste of something I ordered without knowing what it was, the feeling of arriving somewhere completely new and finding it somehow familiar.
The Geek Solutions started because I got tired of reading travel guides written by people who had clearly never taken a budget flight, and food blogs that listed ingredients without ever telling you what actually goes wrong in the kitchen. I wanted honest. I wanted real. I wanted the version your friend who has actually been there would tell you.
So that is what I write.
